If you have an IPPB account, then you can pay PLI premium online automatically every month. However, you can also open an IPBB account online to make PLI premium online.

 

# How to open an IPPB account online on a mobile phone

• First of all, you have to download the IPPB mobile banking app from the Google Play Store.
• You can also download it from here.

 

1. Login into the IPPB app by using MPIN 

 

2. Click on the ‘Post Office Services’ option.

 

3. Click Postal Life Insurance.

4. Select Pay Premium.

A message will be displayed i.e. It may take up to 2 working days for the payment to be processed by the Department of Posts after your IPPB account is debited. Hence you are requested to make payments a minimum 2 working days before the due date.

 

5. Click on the yes button.  A new window appears for the Fetch Policy. Just enter your Policy number and date of birth. Full policy details will appear on the mobile screen.

Check and confirm it.  Select no. of installment.

 

6. A new window will appear on the screen containing the total premium amount detail.

 

7. Click on confirm button.

 

 

Premium paid successfully message will appear on the screen.

A confirmation SMS will also be received on the registered mobile number.

 

Pay PLI Premium Automatically  through Standing Instructions:-

 

 

3.  Fetch Policy – Enter Policy number and Date of Birth – Select the instruction and Continue-

 The following points should be ensured:- 

• Ensure sufficient funds to your IPPB account for automatic PLI premium payment.
• It is best to also set the Standing Instructions from your other bank account to your IPPB bank Account well before the date.
• Submit your KYC to the nearest Head Post Office/Delivery Post office for regularization of your Online open IPBB account within 12 months else the account will close.
• Download the PLI Premium Receipt every month.
• In case of SI instructions failure Deposit your Premium in the Post office as soon as possible.
