You can pay your PLI premium through the PLI customer portal https://pli.indiapost.gov.in. Premium can be paid either by debit card credit card or other UPI mode.
After making the payment insurance gets the premium payment receipt in PDF. However, there may be a possibility that sometimes you will not get the premium receipt due to some server/technical issue. The Premium receipt will be available after 24hrs of the payment. Here is the payment status in the PLI customer portal of your recent premium payment:.
• Status ID 1 – Payment transaction is successful.
• Status ID 2 – Payment transaction is failed. Please try again.
• Status ID 99 – Payment transaction is pending. Please wait till the status is updated to success/failure.
• Status ID 6 – Amount is refunded.
• Status ID 14 – Automated refund has failed. Refund will be processed.
Sometimes due to an internet server slowness issue premium amount is also deducted from your account but the premium is not updated in your policy. So 1st you have to wait 24 hours to update your PLI customer portal payment.
How to get a PLI refund for the deducted amount?
In case as per the above status, your payment fails, you may try to make the payment again and the already paid amount will be refunded to you. Normally it will take a week for a refund. However in case still you have not received your refund in time, below are the details of the e-office for further assistance:-
