       Sometimes after online payment customers forget to download the premium payment receipt. After some time when they needed the Postal Life Insurance Premium paid certificate, they were not aware of how to download PLI premium paid receipt.

 
    Let’s check here how to get a PLI premium paid receipt online. Below are the given details to download the PLI Payment receipt online :-.
 

How to download PLI premium receipt online  Process:-

    As we know after making the online payment either PLI customer Portal or through IPPB mobile app Standing Instructions or through the Post Info app the PLI premium paid receipt will only be made available 24 hours after online payment i.e next day after the online payment. Therefore try to download the receipt the next day of online payment.
STEP 1: Visit the website https://pli.indiapost.gov.in to open the customer login page of the website.
STEP 2: Enter your customer ID, password, and captcha code, and click on login.  If you are logging 1st time, you have to generate the customer ID, You can also create the customer ID by clicking on ‘generate customer ID’.

You will receive a mail from PLI containing your customer ID and password reset process, Normally email is received after 24-72 hrs. However, before the generation of the customer ID, your email ID and mobile number must be updated with PLI.

You can reset your portal password by clicking on the ‘Forgot password’ option and the customer ID by clicking on ‘Forgot customer ID’ in case you forgot the same.

STEP 3: Now log in to your PLI account through the customer portal. On the top side click on the ‘Tools & Utilities’ tab. Then Click on the option ‘Payment History’ out of them.

STEP 4: On clicking ‘Payment History’ select the policy number. Select the policy number from the list for which you want to download the payment receipt and then click on the tab ‘Get Payment History’.

STEP 5: A list of available payment history done by you online mode like the customer portal, IPPB mobile app, etc..will be available. You will see the order number, transaction type done transaction date, status of transactions, etc here.

You will then see the ‘Download Receipt’ option there against the receipt number if your payment recently done by you was successful only then this option will show i.e. if the status ID is 1. Now you can click on the ‘Download Receipt’ option to save the receipt on your device.

  Save the downloaded receipt in the folder, you may take the print of this receipt and paste it into your PLI Premium paid receipt book.
Different type of  payment status in the Postal Life Customer portal:-
  • Status ID 1 – Payment transaction is successful.
  •  Status ID 2 – Payment transaction failed. Please try again
  •  Status ID 99 – Payment transaction is pending. Please wait till the status is updated to success/failure.
  •  Status ID 6 – Amount is refunded.
  •  Status ID 14 – Automated refund has failed. A refund will be processed.Note: This is applicable from 15th March 2021 onwards
