# How to Generate PLI Customer ID for Portal login?

      If you have a PLI or RPLI Policy and want to pay premium online or avail of the other services online, you must have PLI customer portal login credentials to access the portal. If you want to know how to generate PLI customer ID for the portal so here we explore in detail how can you register in the PLI customer portal to avail the various online services in PLI.

# Prerequisites to Generate PLI/ RPLI  customer ID :-

 
  • Valid Email Address updated with PLI
  • The valid unique mobile number updated with PLI 
 

# Generate PLI Customer ID & Login Password Online :-

You can access your PLI policy detail online through the PLI Customer portal and also make online payments for your Postal Life Insurance policy. However, before login to the portal, you have to follow the following steps:-

Step-1 If you already have a postal life insurance policy, you will have to update your Mobile and e-mail address to register with the PLI. Both details are mandatory for customer portal login if already not updated at the of purchasing of policy.

 
Step-2 Submit a Request Form to the nearest Post Office/Central Processing Centre for updation of your Mobile number and e-mail. Email address and mobile number will be updated instantly at the post office counter. 
 

Step-3 Immediately after the updation of your mobile and email id by the post office. Then Visit to at Customer Portal and click on Generate Customer ID.

        You will have to fill out the form as per the information in your policy document and submit it online. However while updating your email and mobile number in any post office, also request to counter staff to check basic details in your policy like your name, which you need to enter in the customer portal for registration.

    After this, your credentials will be verified at the PLI end and you will receive an email within 24 hours of the submission of your request.

Step-4 This email will contain your Customer ID and a link which will remain active for 72 hours from the time of submission of the request. You will be able to set a password with this. After this, you will be able to log in to the portal using the customer ID and password and have access to a lost of features. However, you can perform any transaction only the next day.

    Now no need to submit request .now you can just update your email and mobile number in the post office counter while depositing the your monthly premium.

    just simplified now. All payment modes are availables.

    While depositing the premium at counter you can ask counter assistant to check whether your email and mobile number are updated or not. if not the same cane be updated instantly.
